SharePoint Exam 70-573 Study Guide
The SharePoint 2010 exams have now gone into beta testing. I've created an online study guide that you can use to study for Exam 70-573: TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development. I've mapped out each objective on the exam and provided links to what I have found to be some of the most helpful resources for learning about that objective, (mostly from the SDK on MSDN).

Soapbox: I know some people don't think exams amount to a hill of beans. That is true, if all someone does is go out to some "brain dump" site and memorizes answers. However, as someone who has taken and passed a dozen tests over the last decade, I can say that I've used each exam as an opportunity for me to learn a little more about the technology I'm being tested on, whether that was learning about Web services for the first time, or learning about the IT side of SharePoint (which is a stretch for me as a developer). I think that each of us tends to stick to what we know and feel comfortable with, and in my personal experience, studying for an exam forces me to get outside my box and really learn what else is out there. It's with this motivation that I provide you with the study guide, that those of you out there who want to actually do the work to learn the product will be better off for having studied for the exam.

Great resource!

Becky,

Thanks for putting this together. I'm not a dev but this is really useful and very very well put together. Hope there's one for the admin exams too :) It must have taken a lot of work, good job!

Unique resource available on the net

Hi Becky,
Its really a very good thing that you categorized the subject areas. This is really helpful to those who are really looking for certification with knowledge.
